A very important part of the Counseling Center’s mission involves reaching out to those who interact with students and assisting them with concerns that may arise. Members of the University of Alabama community, such as parents, family members, fellow students, friends, clergy, and University of Alabama faculty and staff members may all come into contact with our students and become aware of concerns they are experiencing.
Our professional staff is available to provide consultation to interested and concerned others. Our counselors can also assist you with your concerns about students by offering suggestions and tips about being supportive and effective in your interactions with them.
You may contact us at 348-3863 to set an appointment or to discuss your concerns over the telephone. This information is treated confidentially unless actions must be taken out of concern for the safety of others.
