The Counseling Center helps students at The University of Alabama thrive emotionally, academically, and personally. Our services support students as they navigate challenges and build the skills they need to succeed.
We provide the following:

- Campus wide outreach and educational programming
- Professional training for future mental health providers
Accreditation
The Counseling Center is accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services. This recognition reflects a commitment to high standards in student mental health care.
Supporting the Campus Community
The Counseling Center also offers resources for faculty, staff, and families who are concerned about a student’s wellbeing. Information on helping students in crisis and self help materials are available to guide support efforts.
University Mental Health Services
The University of Alabama offers a network of mental health professionals and services dedicated to supporting student wellbeing.
Counseling Center
Comprehensive clinical mental health care for students that is short-term and goal-focused.
Camellia Center
Voluntary confidential and free clinical and advocacy support to those affected by interpersonal violence (sexual assault, domestic violence, child abuse, etc.).
Collegiate Recovery and Intervention Service
Comprehensive continuum of care for students with substances use concerns and other process addictions (gambling, eating disorders, pornography).
Student Health Center and Pharmacy
Licensed psychiatry services available.
